Six talented footballers from Minerva Academy have been included in the senior Indian team and all of them will present their challenge in the Merdeka Cup 2023. This is a big success and Minerva trainees are continuously proving themselves in this. The names of these players include Anirudh Thapa, Jackson Singh, Sandesh Jhingan, Anwar Ali, Manvir Singh and Vikram Pratap Singh. The Merdeka Cup is a big and old tournament organized by Malaysia. The best players participate in it. This year teams from India, Malaysia and Tajikistan will participate in the tournament. The Indian team will undoubtedly face tough challenges, but the Minerva stars have fully prepared themselves for it.
Minerva’s Sandesh Jhingan, Anwar Ali, Jackson Singh, Anirudh Thapa and Manvir Singh had earlier participated in the King’s Cup. He played against Iraq and registered his name in the record books. This time they will participate in the Merdeka Cup and instead of 5, Minerva’s 6 stars will strengthen the Indian team.
Anwar Ali’s performance in India’s defense has been excellent. Apart from saving goals, he is also adept at scoring goals. His technique has impressed everyone. He will also get support from Sandesh Jhingan in defence. He has been saving goals like a wall for the Indian team for quite some time now. He is considered the best defender.
At the same time, Anirudh Thapa has strengthened the midfield since his debut in the national team. He is a promising player and has impressed everyone with his skills. Apart from this, Jackson Singh will also be present with him in the midfield area. He will be on the field as a defensive midfielder.
Minerva’s Manveer Singh and Vikram Pratap Singh will be present in the forward line. He has been continuously scoring goals for the Indian team. He is called the goal machine of India. This time too he will bring the team on the front foot.
The inclusion of 6 stars from City Academy will definitely boost India’s chances in the Merdeka Cup 2023 and generate excitement among football fans across the country.
