On the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh Unit carried out a cleanliness drive headed by the State President, Sanjay Tandon in sector 38 west in the morning today. He was accompanied by District President, Ravi Kant Sharma, General Secretary, Prem Kaushik, Councillors, Sunita Dhawan, Shipra Bansal, Sabina Bansal, Monica Sharma and workers from Municipal Corporation.
Sanjay Tandon informed that тАЬCleanliness is Godliness” had been the mantra of Mahatma Gandhi’s life. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, launched ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on October 2, 2014 with a vision of achieving ‘Clean India’ by 2019.
