Joint Action Committee(JAC) Engineering Forum, comprising of five members, met the Principal Secretary Irrigation(PSI) today. The JAC put forth its demand of a Departmental Enquiry by Retired & Serving Chief Engineers of the department under the Chairmanship of Administrative Secretary of the Punjab Government i.e PSI & not under the State Vigilance Bureau Head. The PSI conveyed to the Joint Action Committee that pen down strike of 9/8/2017 & 10/8/2017 be postponed on the assurance that PSI will coordinate a meeting of JAC with Chief Secretary, Punjab for resolution of the matter.
“On the assurance given by PSI to J.A.C., JAC has decided to postpone the pen down strike of 09 /8/2017& 10/8/2017 for indefinitely till further decision. ” Said Er. B.P. S.Brar President, J.A.C. Engineering Forum.
