PEC Students Relive their Golden Years at Golden Jubilee Get-together

“Over 150 students of 1969 batch of Punjab Engineering College at Hotel Holiday Inn in Panchkula here.

Ashok Kumar Puri a retired Chief Engineer and another retired engineer Mahesh Nanda recalled how it was a nostalgic moment to see their classmates after 50 years. “Even though our hair had turned grey but it brought tears in our eyes as we hugged each other reminiscing those simple days”, they said.

It was a great occasion to revive great memories of the iconic institute. Batchmates came from all over the world had come for the special dinner hosted at the venue where they were also given away small mementos.

While the batchmates shared how Chandigarh was 50 years ago and they had nowhere else to go but spend hours at the Indian Coffee House. There were performances by those present with their spouses there. While some delighted the audience with poems and jokes, some of them enthralled those present with songs of yesteryears.
