DIVYA AZAD

Raksha Bandhan is around the corner and everyone is so busy buying beautiful rakhis for their brother. Even brothers are busy choosing the perfect gift for their loving sister. In between the preparation of “Rakhi” our favourite stars took out the time to share their Rakhi memory and wishing each one of a Very Happy Raksha Bandhan.

Raksha Bandhan quotes from Sony SAB artists:

Krishna Bharadwaj as Tenali Rama in Sony SAB’s Tenai Rama-

“Well I stay alone in Mumbai from last 15 years and I doesn’t have a real sister. But yes I have got a nice and caring sister nishaji who is my cook. Every day without fail she comes and prepares delicious food for me. Every year she ties Rakhi to me and I gave her a gift. This year again she will tie a rakhi but my gift this year would be different. I will give her cash which will help her to support her daughter’s education.”

Rakhi Vijan as Monica Malpani from Sony SAB’s Sajjan Re Phir Jhooth Mat Bolo-

We as a family around 20 of us gathers including all cousins, uncles, aunties at my grandma’s house. My aunty makes super food and then we have a rocking party. After the yummy food session we tie Rakhi to our brothers. I always give some nice clothes to them. This year I am planning to give them nice Mont Blanc wallets. The celebration of all these years are beautiful because we spend quality time with each other.

Karan Veer Mehra as Rajeev from Sony SAB’s TV, Biwi aur Main-

I still so vividly remember the day she was born, I was 4 years old then. I was asked to hold her in my arms. It was an instant connect that she belongs to me, so I was not ready to let go of her. Later in life I was told that I am the elder brother the one who protects. But believe me she is my elder brother, friend, partner in crime, mother if need be. She is the one who always protects me.

My favorite Rakhi memory is she invariable buys me a gift and I am so mean that I always forget to buy her one. But this year I promise to buy her a real good gift.

Tanvi Thakkar as Bindiya from Sony SAB’s TV, Biwi aur Main-

My family is away in Chennai. I send rakhi to my brothers, so when I go there once in six months I gather all the money which they give me. All my brothers are younger than me, once I remember giving an I-pad to one of my brother. This year I am planning to buy a PS4 for my brother. Most of my raksha bandhan memories are video call memories because my family gets together for raksha bandhan and since I am not there, I always see the celebration happening through a video call. This year too I am shooting, but I am trying to take an off and travel to Chennai. It looks difficult but still I am hoping if I will get a chance to go to Chennai.
