To make children aware of the rich Hindu mythology, Genius World Play┬а School, Zirakpur┬а celebrated┬а Krishna Janmashtmi with full fervor. On the occasion, the students of pre-primary wing started the day with devotional songs hymns and aarati, depicting Meera bhakti. The students enacted scenes from the Raslila to recreate incidents from the life of Krishna and his love for Radha. The true friendship of Krishna and Sudama was also depicted.
The students gave a mesmerized look dressed in Lord Krishna & Radhs while participating in songs and dance performances. The day was marked by KRISHNA JHULAN by the teachers and students. Senior boys formed a human pyramid to break the dahi handi and the programme concluded with prashad distribution. The School Director, Neetu Dandi highlighted the mythological significance of the festival & added that celebration of festivals is a way of enhancing learning beyond the books & will inculcate enthusiastic spirit towards traditional festivals.
