Delhi FC faced a tough defeat against Gokulam Kerala in a thrilling match at the Namdhari Stadium. Despite their best efforts and domination in the game, Delhi FC was unable to secure a victory, ultimately falling 2-1 to their opponents.
The match started off on a high note for Delhi FC, as the continuously breached and troubled the Gokulam Kerala defence and went into the break with a smile, with Pape Gassama’s corner kick getting them a a goal just before half time via a deflection off a Gokulam player.
The home team looked strong and maintained their lead for the majority of the game, with goalkeeper Naveen Kumar putting on a stellar performance to keep Gokulam at bay.
However, luck was not on Delhi FC’s side as a hand ball in the box led to a penalty for Gokulam, which was successfully converted by Alex Sanchez to level the score at 1-1. In a heartbreaking turn of events, Gokulam managed to score a late goal in the 92nd minute, leaving Delhi FC with no time to mount a comeback.
Despite the disappointing result, Delhi FC remains determined and committed to putting in the hard work needed to secure three points in their next match. The team is focused on learning from this defeat and coming back stronger in their upcoming games.
