The president of Punjab Youth Congress, Brinder Singh Dhillon on wednesday made an appeal to the youth of state to come forward to save the farmers of the state, he was speaking on the occasion of joint meeting of Punjab youth congress office bearers regarding ‘Tractor Rally’ against the ordinances on September 20. Dhillon said that the present Narendra Modi govt has ruined the business class and employ sector with its anti-people policies and is hell bent to completely destroy the farming sector with proposed anti farmers bills.
Opposing the Essential commodities Act, Dhillon said that it will lead to the black marketing of the grains and other food item. The big houses will further take control of the market and prices will be decided by them as per their convenience. He said  that worst affected in the whole scenario will the small and marginal farmer as the big houses will ultimately grab the control and he will be forced to sell his land. This ordinance in a way is the legal approach to snatch land of the farmers. The Punjab Youth Congress will never let it happen and oppose the nefarious acts of Modi govt.
Criticizing SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal for his double speak on the farm ordinance issue, Dhillon said that he is shedding crocodile tears to be the saviour of farmers but the people of Punjab have come to know about his real character. Sukhbir Badal must clarify if he is lying now or was trying to misguide the farmers of the state for last 3 months on the issue of farmer ordinance. Why was Sukhbir and other Akali leaders trying to create this misconception that the farm ordinance would benefit the farmers and now opposing it anticipating opposition from the Punjab farmers.
