Vishvas Foundation and Central Town, Zirakpur together on Wednesday planted saplings on Nagla Road in Central Town for trees with medicinal properties. The aim is to increase awareness in the society about greenery and contribute to environmental balance. This will not only help in reducing pollution, but will also increase the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere.
Today, on the second day, about 400 were put together. The planting of saplings was started by Sadhvi Neelima Vishvas, General Secretary of Vishvas Foundation and MD Central Town Sunny Garg and Priyanka Garg. He informed that a plantation program named Van Mahotsav Week Plantation Drive is being run regularly for a week in the courtesy of Central Town Zirakpur. The target is to plant about 4,000 saplings during this period. The thinking behind this is that awareness should be brought in the society to promote greenery.
Vishvas Foundation wants that before the coming rainy season, more and more saplings should be planted which in turn become big and dense trees. Seven types of saplings were planted in which Gulmohar, Arjun, Jamun, Amla, Plum, Sheesham and Bahera were planted so that maximum number of people could get benefit. On this occasion Prashant Dewan (Marketing Head) Sumit Behl, Sadhvi Shakti Vishvas, Rajinder Gulati, Manjula Gulati, Surinder Kumar Bansal, Rekha Bansal, Mulkhraj Manocha, Sunita Manocha, Sandeep Parmar, Sugandhi Parmar, Shashvat Vishvas, Sanskriti Vishvas and Central Town staff together planted a sapling & Put it.
