On the demise of famous Punjabi singer Sardul Sikandar, eminent Sikh farmer leader and Chandigarh State President of All India Jatt Mahasabha and National Delegate of Mahasabha S. Rajinder Singh Badheri has expressed deep sorrow. He said that Sardul Sikandar’s wife Amar Noori had family ties with his family before marriage. ‘May God give her the strength to accept this will.’ Describing the demise of Sardul Sikandar as an irreparable loss, Badheri said that his great contribution to Punjabi mother tongue, Punjabiyat and Punjabi culture could never be forgotten. “Every eye is sad today, every heart is feeling sorrow at his demise.”


Mr. Badheri said that the demise of Sardul Sikandar is an unbearable grief for all of us. He had recently tested positive for Covid-19 and was undergoing toxic treatment at a hospital in Mohali. He has a great contribution to make to Punjabi music, which will always inspire many generations to come. “My prayers are with Sikandar’s family. May Waheguru place the departed soul at His feet.’


Mr. Badheri, while talking to the media, said that he had called Sardul Sikandar through his friend Prof. Dr. Through Nahar Singh,. He came to the village Badheri on February 28, 1982. There he was to present a cultural program during the tournament. Dr. Nahar Singh had been Sardul Sikandar’s class-fellow at Khanna’s A.S. College.


Mr. Badheri further said that Sardool Sikandar’s wife Amar Noori is the daughter of late Roshan Singh Sagar, who was one of the close friends of my late father Jathedar Ajaib Singh Badheri.
He also said that Roshan Sagar was a resident of village Molli Baidwan in Mohali district. Earlier he used to be Roshan Lal but became Roshan Singh on the occasion of the 300th Prakash Utsav of Dasam Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Ji.
