With several calls being received from worried parents of children going to school in this chilly weather, the Councillor of sector 15, Saurabh Joshi, has made an appeal to the Administration to exempt the children till 9th to attend offline school and shift to online mode for another 10 days.
Owing to very cold, foggy and unpredictable weather the parents are complaining about their children getting flu and falling sick due to exposure to such detrimental weather. Parents of the children are also bothered about the low visibility in the morning due to fog while their children are commuting to schools via buses and vans. Saurabh Joshi too is anxious about the worst AQI ,due to no rains, the city is engulfed in. Exposing the children to such a polluted environment will further make the children prone to various health problems.
Parents also shared their concern with Mr. Joshi that with final exams fast approaching, the parents don’t want their children to fall sick and be absent for the final examinations. They pleaded with the Councillor to approach the Administration to put the children upto 9th STD of all the schools on online mode of schooling for another 10 days. As India Meteorological Department has warned about more cold and foggy days ahead, it would be wise to prefer online classes and safeguard our children from  adverse and precarious weather and pollution.
