The 3rd & 4th Championship Dog show, being organised by the Royal Kennel Club, Panchkula under the aegis of Pet Animal Health Society, Sector 3, and Animal Husbandry Government of Haryana, commenced at the showground, opposite Hotel Holiday Inn, Sector 3, Panchlula today.

The display of Rottweiler and Labrador breed dogs was the highlight of the first day of the two-day Mega Dog show. Rottweiler and Labrador dogs from all across the country participated in the show and competed against each other in various categories. The show would continue tomorrow on Sunday and more than 250 dogs and more than 50 breeds would be on display for the canine lovers.

International jury for today’s show included Mr. Madhawan, President, Rottweiler Club of Malaysia, Mr. Aleksandar Krstic, Labrador retriever specialist judge, Serbia and Mr. Park Hurncheol, Rottweiler speciality Judge, Korea ensured the best dog wins the titles.

The prize distribution ceremony in various categories would be held on Sunday, tomorrow, the concluding day of the Dog show. Mr. Sikandar Singh, General Secretary, Royal Kennel Club, while giving details of the event, said that the speciality competition for Rottweiler and Labrador dogs witnessed massive participation with owners of these dogs travelling from the nook and corner of the country including Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Mumbai, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Maharastra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and the Tricity.

Toeing the same lines vice president Mr. Sarvpreet Chadha said that Tomorrow’s event is going to be a treat for dog lovers as various dog breeds will be participating in the show including breeds worth Lakhs of rupees. “A number of VIP guests and bureaucrats are expected to visit the show,” further added he.
