Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Chandigarh today celebrated International Nurses day under the theme “Nursing: The Balance of Mind, Body and Spirit” at Aryans Campus. Nurses day celebrated on the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.

The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony. Students organised various activities including oath ceremony, Debate, Painting competition, cultural activities etc on the theme to mark the celebration and exhibit their responsibilities towards the society.

Nursing students while taking oath pledged to serve the society with their profession during their studies as well as after the completion of their course. Debate on how to control the frequent changes in mind, body and soul during the studies and in profession may put impact on the society has allowed the students to share their views.

Dr. Raman Rani while motivating the students said that the role of nurse in the health sector in every part of the world is very important as they serve mankind and God. She further said that each and every person needs someone to take care when they are admitted to the hospital. The nurses take care of them as patient in every possible ways day and night, he said.

Ms Parul Guleria, HOD, Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN) appreciated the measures taken by the students for the welfare of the society. She also appealed to the students of the institute who had taken oath to work hard with full dedication for the welfare of the society and let the patient feel their presence through their caring during their period of treatment.

The program was attended by ANM & GNM students of Aryans and faculty members including Dr. Raman Rani, Principal; Ms. Sukhaman Bath, Registrar; Ms Parul Guleria, HOD etc.
