6th Annual Conference of Society of Therapeutic NeuroInterventions-2023 kicks off in city

To discuss the latest techniques and research in the field of neurovascular interventions, the 6th Annual Conference of the Society of Therapeutic Neuro Interventions (STNI)-2023 is being organised at Hotel JW Marriott, Sector 35.

Being organised from 1-3 December, 2023, the annual event brings together practicing and budding Neuro-interventionists of the country on a common platform. The theme of STNI-2023 is BEFAST #Strike Out Stroke.

The STNI is a national society with over 270 members, constituted to share knowledge and latest developments in the field of neurointervention in the country and the surrounding region.

As Neuro-interventionists play a critical role in the management of Ischemic and Hemorrhagic strokes, the event will provide a detailed insight into the skills of Interventional NeuroRadiology (INR) operators.

Giving information, Dr Vivek Gupta, Additional Director, Interventional Neuroradiology, Fortis Hospital Mohali and Organising Chairman of STNI, said, “STNI-2023 is organised to share information on the latest techniques and research in the field of neurovascular interventions. This will not only enhance the knowledge and skills of doctors, but also provide cutting-edge technology to patients. The meeting will also give an opportunity to young practitioners to see the scope of this encompassing and ever-evolving field and get their queries addressed by the best in the world.”

Dr Gupta further saidrenownedneuro-interventionists from India and abroad including the US, UK, Turkey, South Korea, France, Kazakhstan etc. will participate in the three-day conference and share their valuable insight on neuro-interventional procedures.

Discussing the topics of the sessions, Dr Gupta, added, “Sessions by renowned doctors on Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Strokes, Aneurysms, Cerebral-spinal AVM’s and Fistulas, Basilar Aneurysm, Vertebral Artery Aneurysms etc will be the main highlight of the event. Doctors from Fortis Hospital Mohali and PGIMER will also deliver lectures on the latest advancements in neuro-intervention.”

Dr Chirag Ahuja, Additional Professor, Department of Radiodiagnosis, PGIMER, Chandigarh, is the Organizing Secretary of STNI.
