“PRAKRITI”, the Environment Society of PGGCG-11 in collaboration with NSS organized a tree plantation drive in the college campus today. The drive is a part of Van Mahotsav Celebrations. Mr. R.K. Popli, Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest of the function. The function was attended by faculty members, members of Environment Society, programme officers of NSS and their volunteers.
Principal Prof. Anita Kaushal who is also the President of the Environment Society and the NSS motivated the faculty and the students of the college to adopt these plants and take post plantation care. More than 40 saplings of various avenue, fruit and shade loving trees like Neem, Amaltas, Ashoka, Guava and Indian Elm were planted across the college campus.
