A Signature campaign was organised by the advocates of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, Central Administrative Tribunal, District Courts Chandigarh in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. More than thousand signatures of the lawyers obtained and compiled and submitted before the Honorable Governor of Punjab to show their support. The delegation of the lawyers accompanying senior advocates met with Honorable Governor of Punjab and requested him to forward there signature support campaign to the Honourable President of India.
