Workshop on ‘Minimum medicine Maximum health’ to be held

Dr. R.Kumar a Senior eye specialist, formerly at PGI and now President of an NGO- SPEAK India (Society for Promotion of Ethical & Affordable health Care) will conduct a workshop at 11 am on August 25 (Saturday) for the benefit of faculty and staff of Saraswati group of Colleges, Mohali. He will focus on ‘Minimum medicine, maximum health’ and highlight the aspects of abuse of medicines, diagnostic tests, surgeries and avoidable exploitation of national resources by the patients and doctors. He will educate the youth on the perils of consuming foods full of white poisons and excessive use of smart phones.

To pre-empt Consuming medicines or consultation with a doctor or going for a regular package of x-rays& lab tests, one should opt for healthy lifestyle. In a bid to curtail the role of doctors to 20%of the present, use of medicines or surgery or medical advice should not be a habit-it should be the last resort, Dr. Kumar will emphasize.

Sh Bihari Lal Aggarwal noted philanthropist will preside.
