A 4-day painting exhibition ‘Vision 27’ was organized by North Zone Culture Centre (NZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government in collaboration with Unique Society, at Kalagram. The 4-day exhibition continued till February 6 (10 am to 6.30 pm, daily).
Mr Pardeep Kasni, {IAS} Managing Director, Haryana Land Reclamation and Development Corporation, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the exhibition by lighting the traditional lamp.
The chief guest took a round of the exhibition and lauded the role of the participating artists for doing their bit to promote the art. He appreciated each work put on display dealing with a variety of themes, ranging from nature, folk life, wild life, and tombs, temples art and culture through this powerful medium. The artists used water colors, acrylic and oil colours.
In an interaction, Asha Sharma, a senior artist from the city, whose works were on display said “The artists paints what he/she perceives in his/her mindscape, where emotions come into play”. SL Diwan, another artist from Panchkula, echoed similar views. Pappu Chand from Rajasthan in his work aimed at conserving environment and ecology and saving ‘Tiger’. He used water colour to give a fine finish to his paintings.
A Painters’ workshop was also inaugurated on the occasion where as many as fifteen painters took time to make on-the-spot paintings, which the lover of art highly appreciated.
The following acclaimed painters and artists from across the country participated in the exhibition. Asha Sharma, K.R, Koli, S.L Diwan, Aarika Kapoor, Major Singh, Rajesh Siwach, Vandana Vats, Devender Ajnavi, Iqbal Kaur, Basant Kumar, Renu Hooda, Ritu Verma, Nidhi Khanna, Renuka Gupta, Richa Sharma, Dinesh Yadav, Harpuneet Kaur, Raman Deep Singh, Sharanjit Kaur, Amit Singh, Vandana Thakur, Dr Garima Jain, Pappu Chand, Kamal Kant Sharma, Gulab Chand, Dr Pooja Sharma and Minakshi Jain. Devendra‘Ajnavi’ and Iqbal Kaur.
Dr Sonica Krishan, a global award winner in the field of healthcare, who the guest of honor on the occasion, also appreciated the works of the artists. Among those who visited the exhibition was renowned Punjabi singer Jassi Gill.
Programme Officer Yashwinder Sharma ‘Jassi’, said “NZCC organized such theme exhibitions and workshops to promote upcoming artists. This was our impassioned initiative to keep the art and culture”
