Amazon miniTV recently announced their upcoming, fresh, light-hearted romedy series, Udan Patolas, which is all set to release on June 10. The show revolves around friendship and sisterhood between four girls who come from a small town to maximum city – Mumbai. Directed by Shakti Sagar Chopra, the show features Apoorva Arora, Aassttha Sidana, Poppy Jabbal, and Sukhmani Sadana in lead roles. With just few days from the launch, the ‘Patolas’ have made their ‘Udaan’ to the heart of Punjab and Haryana – Chandigarh. Yes! Apoorva, Aastha, Poppy, and Sukhmani were in the city of Chandigarh today to meet and greet the media along with touring the city.
On reaching Chandigarh, the young Patolas went on a shopping stroll at the Elante Mall. The girls also savored special Punjabi delicacies including chaat, pav bhaji, and more. During the entire course of their trip, the patolas kept dishing out secrets about love, life, and friendship, showcased in the show.
“When you’re playing a Punjabi character, not visiting its heart would be unfair. Chandigarh is special to me, I shot my 2 Punjabi films here and shooting two more now, I feel a deep connect to this city and I feel its lucky for me. Known for its upbeat vibe and culture, that’s what I always experience with my visit. Spreading the essence of Udan Patolas in this ‘City Beautiful’ was surreal. My character dreams big, but is connected to her roots, and visiting Chandigarh made me feel more like her. Well, I must say, there couldn’t be a better place than Chandigarh to tell the stories of Amarinder Gill, Noorpreet Dhillon, Punni Chandok, and Lovely Singh Chabbra,” shared Poppy Jabbal.
Sukhmani Sadana, who wears the hat of a writer-actor for Udan Patolas, made the most of her Chandigarh visit. Talking about her experience in Chandigarh, she said, “Traveling with your team after shooting is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and this Chandigarh tour for Udan Patolas has been splendid so far. It has not only brought us closer to each other but has also made us understand our characters better. I hope that the efforts we’ve put in for this peppy, yet dramatic dramedy touch the hearts of the viewers.”

‘Udan Patolas’ chronicles the lives of four aspirational Punjabi girls, who are trying to make their dreams come true in Mumbai. Searching for jobs, finding a residence, and coping with city life, viewers will get an insight into love, friendship, relationship, and life at large. Offering a good mix of emotions, this rom-com drama shows you the difficulties of life, and how one can overcome them.
