Think Tank SUVICHAR organised a Seminar at Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, today on the topic “Making India a Sports Super Power.” Seminar was organised for the students of Classes VIII to XI. SUVICHAR is a forum of Thought Leaders having an experience and an insight of various sectors that are an integral part of our society’s functioning.

General VP Malik, PVSM, AVSM, former Army Chief, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He motivated students to adopt at least one sport for their all-round development. Vivek Atray Motivational Speaker and former DC Panchkula was also present on the occasion. He laid emphasis on the development and maintenance of Sports Culture for a better health and temperament.

As a part of the seminar, the students were encouraged to expand their thinking horizons and introspect about what India needs to do to become a super power in sports. The views of the students were appreciated and they were encouraged for their far sightedness. Around fifty students had participated in the essay writing competition regarding the same.

General Malik and Mr Atray are among the 10 eminent co-founders of SUVICHAR, which has organised several such seminars at schools and colleges on topics like Youth Development, Urban Issues, Sports, Healthcare, Legal Reform, etc.

VK Kapoor IPS Retd., Mrs Neelam Mann Singh, Padmashree, Mr ML Sarin, Senior Advocate, Mr Vipin Pubby, former Editor Indian Express, Prof. Rajnish Wattas, former Principal Chandigarh College of Architecture, Mr Jyoti Kamal, Bureau Chief, News 18, Mr Ashok Tandon, Industrialist, Mr Sameer Jain, Founder Net Solutions, Mrs Neena Singh, founder Bharat Prakarsh Foundation and Mr Sameer Goel, head Infosys, Chandigarh.

The Chairman of the school Dr V.D. Singh and the Managing Director Sh Parveen Setya along with the Principal Ms Urvashi Kakkar also graced the seminar with their benign presence.
