Sardar Sukhminder Singh Grewal nominated as Chairman of Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation of India

Sardar Sukhminder Singh Grewal, National Secretary, BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari J & K, has thanked Mr Ram Bilas Sharma, Education Minister, Haryana, Mr Chander Shekhar, IPS, Ex Director General of Police, Jaswant Singh, Vice President, Prof. JP Sharma, General secretary, Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation of India for nominating him as Chairman of the Federation, which is a registered body since it’s inception in 1978.

In a statement, Grewal said that the Federation has conducted 29 senior National Championships for men and women in the different states. The Federation has also fielded it’s men team in the International tournaments in Pakistan in 1983, 1985, 1988, 1989, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2004.

The federation also called Pakistan Circle Kabaddi team in 2000, 2006, 2008, and 2010 and played Indo-Pak matches in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. The federation also fielded it’s men team in the World Kabaddi Tournaments in Toronto, Vancouver, USA and Australia in 1995, 1998, and 2008, and India remained champion in the said matches.

Mr JP Sharma is founder general secretary of Punjab Amateur Circle Kabaddi Association. In the last meeting of ACKFI at Chandigarh, 26 states took part. Mr Sharma was authorised to nominate good personalities in the states to further promote this game.
