On the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti, the state President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh Unit, Sanjay Tandon visited the Valmiki temple in Maulijagran today to pay tributes. While addressing the gathering, Sanjay Tandon talked about the significance of the day and remembered the contribution of Maharishi Valmiki who authored the epic Ramayana. Tandon had also attended the Shobha Yatra of Valmiki in Sector 32 yesterday. Besides, he joined Satsang Programme organized in Hallomajra last night. Those who accompanied in today’s event included Mayor Asha Jaswal, RSS, Rajinder Jain, Director Social Welfare, Dr Devinder, District President, Shakti Prakash Devshali, Mandal President, Mukesh Rai, Councillors, Anil Dubey, Sachin Lohtia, Bharat Kumar, SC Morcha President, Krishan Kumar, Savan Lahiri, Naresh and residents of the area also joined the celebrations.
