Peace club and NSS units of Dev Samaj College of Education in collaboration with Yuvsatta (an NGO) celebrated the National Girl Child Day by organizing a fest titled ‘Soar High, Touch the Sky’. Dr.(Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon ,Principal along with Chief Guest Mrs. Damley from Bombay inaugurated the fest by tying pink turbans on the heads of students as a symbol of respect and dignity of girls. The staff and students proudly wore pink and pledged to extend their support to stand against bullying, harassment, intimidation and disrespectful behaviour towards the girl child.
The fest concluded with a kite flying competition.
