The 2nd edition of India Medical Show (IMS 2019) was inaugurated at the Parade Ground, Sector 17 here today by Dr G Dewan, Director, Health Service, Chandigarh. The exhibition is highly useful for the medical and healthcare professionals. SD Promo Media Pvt Ltd has organized the show with the support of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Chandigarh and over 500 hospitals.

Dr Rajesh Dhir, President, IMA said, “Chandigarh is becoming a medical hub. Such type of shows definitely give exposure to the medical professions. Technology plays a vital role in the healthcare industry and an array of innovations and new techniques are exhibited here.”

Dr. Gagandeep Singh Sachdeva, CEO, Sohana Hospital was also present as the guest of honour.  The India Medical Show has an increased area of 1800 sq m. in comparison to last year. There are two halls in which more than 180 companies are demonstrating their latest equipment, technologies and services. The India Medical show is the only platform in the region, where all the requirements of hospitals and diagnostic lab supplies might be fulfilled. The scope of exhibition includes all types of medical equipment, ICU equipment, surgical instruments, sterilizing products, medical textile, telemedicine, blood bank equipments, diagnostic products and kits, hospital furniture, hospital infrastructure, rehabilitation products, medical disposables, OT equipment, X-ray equipment and every other product used in hospitals and clinics.

Vivek Vikram, Director, SD Promo Media said, “Last year we surpassed 100 crore worth of businesses generated and this time we aim at further increase, given that our show has doubled in number of exhibitors within a year. Our purpose of organizing this event in Chandigarh is to provide a chance for worldwide manufacturers and distributors in medical, hospital, surgical and diagnostic sectors to interact with doctors and medical professionals, to understand and explore this region along with getting a chance to find local partners, networking with the industry captains.
