Furever Friends, a leading animal rescue NGO from tricity, in association with Bloggers Alliance, distributed ration kits to 48 poor families in Sambhalhedi area of Mohali district. Each kit costing Rs 1100 contains ration for a family enough for two weeks. The organization has taken an initiative of helping the underprivileged people, suffering due to the lockdown. The NGO has joined hands with local administration to provide medical aid, ration, food and other utilities to the poor.

Vikas Luthra, Founder, Furever Friends said, “Our team has been covering most of the areas in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur. We have been feeding street animals also. I believe every individual should stand up in this emergency situation to help the needy. We aim at providing around 20,000 masks, sanitizers and ration kits to poor people. The ration kits contain material like rice, flour, cooking oil, salt and spices.

Narvijay Yadav, President (Chandigarh Chapter) Bloggers Alliance, said, “We are happy to support this initiative. This is the time of crisis when help is required at every level, so that our nation comes out victorious in this war against the deadly virus. We appeal everyone to take care of street dogs also.”
