Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Daria organised an exhibition in collaboration with Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science and Technology Promotion Society, Chandigarh Administration on the theme of Impact of Akshay Urja in India  held in the school campus.
The students displayed scientific models. They  explained different models related to latest innovations and achievements in the field of Science and Technology. The models were based on the topics related to Renewable sources of energy students told their judicious use of electricity and life processes.
Visitors appreciated the efforts made by the students. Children gave practical suggestions to the parents to conserve non-renewable resources of energy.  Model prepared by sahil  and Shivam conveyed the idea that the environment could be kept clean with the use of science. They also expressed that renewable energy had favourable effect on natural resources. Sandeep and Bhumi, through their model expressed the danger of smoke coming out of factories and vehicles which is harmful for the living beings. It would be essential to use modern techniques to save the environment from the pollution. Raj  Kumar and Hanraj exhibited the utility of solar light in houses, street and on roads. Vivek, Brijesh and Sujeet through their model of windmill emphasized on increasing the capacity of solar energy. Chetan and Jasan conveyed the fact that due to increasing global warming glaciers are melting which might ultimately lead to emerson of earth in water. Madhur and Babbandeep gave the message of improving the transport system. Mannat Saini  and Priyanka presented the seasonal variation. Other students conveyed useful ideas about converting the waste into the best, disposable of garbage, study of flowers and the human body system through their models.
Students of  junior category and senior category were also awarded for  displaying best models.
Dr. Vinod Kumar, Principal of the school said that the main idea of arranging the exhibition was to raise public appreciation on scientific issues for the development of nation.
