Dr. Wasim Ahmad has been honored with Kalyanam Karoti State Award by Shri Krishna Pal Gurjar, State Minister, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India on the occasion of International Day for Persons with Disabilities at Mathura on Monday.

Dr. Ahmad is working as Assistant Professor in Special Education at Govt. Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID), Chandigarh.

This award is given by Kalyanam Karoti, a National Award Winning Charitable Organization in the city of Mathura, UP  which serves  for the welfare of persons with disabilities for last four decades.

Dr. Ahmad has been honoured for his commendable work in the field of Special Education especially for empowering individuals with intellectual disability. Recently he has also been honoured with Dr. Reeta Peshawaria Award by Sh. Jitan Ram Manjhi, Ex Chief Minister Bihar and Dr. JK Trivedi Award in the month of August and November 2017 respectively.
