Fulfilling a long-standing demand of the industry in general and CII membership in particular that CII should devise a robust mechanism to create and sustain Industry-Academia Connect, CII Haryana State Council has brought luminaries from industry and academia together on one platform with the launch of the first Industry-Academia Cell, CII Northern Region Chairperson, Mrs Rumjhum Chatterjee announced here today.

The Cell was launched today on the occasion of a Panel Discussion on ‘Realising Make in India by Building Competitiveness ‘Fostering Industry-Academia Connect’ at Gurugram today.

Mrs Chatterjee said, “The Cell is aimed to facilitate dialogue and exchange between the industry and the academia. The Cell will work to be a part of the CII Haryana State Office. The Cell will also collate and analyse requirements of the industry across the sectors and also apprise the academic institutes to change their syllabi accordingly.”

Immediate Past Chairman, CII Haryana State Council, Mr Arun Bhatia, will lead the initiative. The Cell will function with the support of the Vice-Chancellors of YMCA University, Munjal Global University, Manav Rachna University, NIT Kurukshetra and others as well.
