MRA Sr. Sec Model School Sec-27-A, Chandigarh today commemorated Car Free Day. School management and the staff members came in groups by car pooling .Some came on bicycles, on foot & on public transport thereby making their journey more environment friendly reducing air pollution, carbon emissions & traffic congestion on roads.
Teachers were honoured in the assembly by giving away the badges of “Eco Warriors” by the Principal of the school . Dr. Seema Biji .Moreover, students were sensitized to educate their parents about the car pooling. At the end, Principal of the school Dr. Seema Biji enlightened the students by sensitizing them about the need to celebrate Car Free Day and encouraged the teachers and students to make this as a part of their daily life style.
