Exhibiting the respect and gratitude towards the Covid 19 warriors, city residents’ Dhanyawaad Prastaav (‘vote of thanks’)  in form of documentation proposal was duly handed over to Punjab Governor and UT Administrator -VP Singh Badnore on Saturday under the leadership of State President Arun Sood, at his residence Raj Bhavan. This gesture is a collection of signatures of about 28 thousand families from the 557 booths across the city during the lockdown period. Workers have taken care of their physical distance and collected their warmth from people towards Covid warriors. This thanks gesture is towards the front-line medical staff, doctors, nurses, paramedics, policemen, bank and postal personnel and all forms of Govt officials engaged in essential services.

Speaking on the occasion, UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore said that this gesture from the residents of Chandigarh is the symbol of trust and faith  towards their Covid warriors, which will be more effective in energizing against Corona.

Arun Sood appraised administrator about the relief operations carried out by the party during the lockdown wherein an average of 75000 food packets daily were allocated by BJP’s 52 kitchens, ration distribution, distribution of five lakh masks, blood donations in various medical institutions were the prominent ones.

On this occasion, Sanjay Tandon, former state president and member of the BJP, National Executive Council, Mayor Rajbala Malik, Organization Secretary Dinesh Sharma, General Secretaries Chandrashekhar and Rambir Bhatti, Vice President Prem Kaushik and Raghuveer Arora were also present.

The process of handing over the vote of thanks will continue on Monday wherein all five District Presidents & Mandal Presidents under the leadership of Arun Sood will be meeting  DGP, Chandigarh Police, Director, PGI, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation and Mayor and Chief Post Master.
