The annual Civil Military Liaison Conference between the Administration of Union Territory (UT) of Chandigarh and the Army was held today at Headquarters Western Command, Chandimandir. The meeting was co-chaired by Shri V.P Singh Badnore, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh and Lieutenant General Surinder Singh, GOC-in-C, Western Command.
Lieutenant General Surinder Singh GOC-in-C, Western Command highlighted that the forum was organized to effectively coordinate and synergies joint efforts to resolve issues of mutual interest. He thanked Shri V.P Singh Badnore, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh for the wholehearted support to the Defence Forces and for the positive response in resolving number of issues.
Shri V.P Singh Badnore, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh complimented the Armed Forces for their role in Nation building. He assured the Army and ex-servicemen community, including war widows for full support in all possible spheres.
Various issues related to civil military matters were deliberated upon. The meeting was conducted in a spirit of collaboration and bonhomie.
