Workshop on Python: Applications and Usage in the Modern Era of Computing at DAV College

6 August 2018

Python has created a mark for itself in the field of software development with characteristic features like extensive library support, integration, extensible in C++ and C etc. Software development companies prefer python programming language because of its versatile features & fewer programming codes. To enlighten young technocrats of the college about this imperative language, department of Computer Science, DAV College Chandigarh organized a lecture on “Python: Applications and Usage in the modern Era of Computing on 6th August, 2018 in coordination with “C# Corner, USA”.

The resource person for the lecture was Mr. Shubham Kumar, an eminent programmer and speaker from MCN Solutions, Noida, who has guided development of various innovative applications and processes. He described Python as a dynamic enough to be utilized for the mostly simplistic programs to the most scaled, agile, and complex data operations. He enlightened the students about the plausible features and characteristics of python which helps programmers to do coding in fewer steps as compared to Java/C++.  He specified that Python is being widely used in bigger organizations because of its multiple programming paradigms which involves Object Oriented functional programming, comprehensive and large standard library that has automatic memory management and dynamic features. Mr. Kumar stated that Python language has diversified application in the software development companies such as in gaming, web frameworks and applications , language development, prototyping, graphic design applications, etc. This provides the language a higher plethora over other programming languages used in the industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. B.C Josan pressed on the students to work with utmost enthusiasm and dedication to achieve success in their academic endeavors. He congratulated faculty of Computer Science and IT for organizing a highly enriching workshop for the students. Around 190 students of the department attended the workshop and benefited from the same.
