We as a whole are headed towards a world without trees where greenery is something thats reserved for only the untouched parts.’Van Mahotsav’ meaning tree festival is celebrated from Sawan Month annually. This was started by K.M. munshi in 1950 to create enthusiasm in masses for forest conservation and tree plantation.
Mrs Mukta Sharma, Principal, Bachpan school Zirakpur said we made efforts to inculcate a spirit of climate awareness and love for nature among the children by celebrating ‘van mahotsav’ and ‘green day’.
Here children came dressed in beautiful green dresses representing different aspects of nature and planted saplings with great zeal.
