The authorities promised to deliberate on the demands of teachers and assured them that their issues will be considered in the cabinet meeting.

Meanwhile, the hunger strike at DAV College, today entered 10th consecutive day to protest against the neglect of higher education and issues of teaching fraternity in the state. Sumit Goklaney, President DAVCTU said that they will forced to carry out massive protests and will intensify the agitation if new grades are not implemented and the decision to delink UGC from pay scales is not taken back by the Punjab government.
