Students of Stepping Stones Senior Secondary School celebrated the World Heritage Day with a view to raise the public awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage and the efforts that are required to protect and conserve it, as well as draw attention to its vulnerability. Children prepared charts to highlight Sustainable Tourism, and spread the message as to how we can contribute towards preserving and nurturing the Heritage Sites, by minimize pollution to the very extent possible – not to throw wastes or litter the premises of these sites. Speeches were also given highlighting the need to pay special attention to the coastal areas and natural heritage sites, as they provide shelter to thousands of endangered species.

The message that poaching animals at the National Parks should be absolutely curbed down, as these animals play an important role in maintaining the ecological balance of the Earth was also given. In addition a quiz was also conducted to ensure participation and generate interest . This was followed by a PLEDGE by all the children to PROTECT & PRESERVE OUR VALUABLE HISTORY & ASSETS.
