The Satyug Darshan Trust concluded its 7th Tricity Inter School Music, Dance and Art Competition—Swaranjali-2022—at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector-16, Chandigarh, on Friday and facilitated the winners of the competitions. A musical and dance show was conducted by the blind students of the Institute of Blinds, deaf and dumb students of Vartika Special School, and the under privileged children along with the Kendra students.
Dr Chander Shekhar, former DGP of Punjab, graced the closing ceremony of the cultural event on Friday. Also, Shri Sajan Ji, mentor and trustee of Satyug Darshan Trust, were present as the guest of honour. Managing Trustee of the Trust Mrs. Rashma Gandhi was also specially present on this occasion.
During the closing ceremony, Dr Chander Shekhar also distributed prizes among the winner students of various competitions. “The performance by the special children has captivated us and we are obliged to worship their musical intelligence. The knowledge of these children has proved that a person can achieve heights if they desire to learn something”, he said.
Anita Kapoor, Center Incharge, Chandigarh unit said that around 350 students from 20 different schools of tricity participated in the events. Various competitions related to music, dance and art of children were organized, including a group song competition for the students of class 6th to 12th in which students presented their skills in harmonium, guitar, tabla/dhakoli. Apart from this, students from class 6th to class 8th participated in the solo junior category, in which art competitions were conducted.
