Punjabi music industry isn’t just limited to Punjab. It is widely spread overseas and many music producers & companies are contributing in spread of Punjabi Culture through music. One such music producer is “Sam Gill” (Tarsem Gill) who owns ‘Haani Records’. Sam who lives in Canada, is responsible for success of Punjabi Music Industry in Canada & India as well.
Sam with his hardwork has launched Haani Records back in June 2016, releasing first religious song from the company- “Rab Sab De Kaaj Sware” by Jaideep. Haani Records has released around 300 songs till date. Sam also owns another label record “Haani Premium Studios” which was launched in 2019.
Haani Records was launched with a vision for being committed to acknowledge new talent as well, along with working with older artists. Sam has himself featured in some songs such as Shikar by Maninder Baath, Sardaari by Bunny Gill and Fight by Manjit Roopowalia.
Talking about his journey, Music Producer Sam Gill told, “I am basically from village Gill (Ludhiana), Punjab. I never thought of becoming part of music industry before moving to Canada. Having few friends linked to music industry, they suggested me to open Label Record company when I was looking for a suitable business to start. Haani Records has always encouraged new talents and we are committed to spread Punjabi Culture all over.”
Sam talking further said, “We are not only limited to Punjabi Music Industry. After getting huge applaud in Punjabi Music, we are entering into Haryanvi Music as well. ‘Haani Records Haryanvi’ label registered last month and Haryanvi songs will be releasing soon on this label record. Haani Haryanvi will be releasing its first song by famous singer Daler Kharkiya and Ajay Hooda soon.” Putting light on future endeavors of Haani Records, Sam Gill talked about Upcoming projects from Haani Records and Haani Premium Studios. He said, “We are soon presenting Badshaah by Gursewak Dhillon, Vadda Kaara by Sarthi K and other songs by KS Makhan, Nisha Bano, Gurlej Akhtar, Khuda Baksh and many more.”
Sam told that he would like to work on folk, cultural and meaningful songs. Haani Records has recently signed up with new female folk artist Kamal Bajwa whose song “Zindagi de Dhokhe” was released last month.
Soon witness the great associations of Haani Records as Music Producer Sam Gill plans to work with famous artists like Jazzy B, Babbu Maan, Sidhu Moosewala, Amrinder Gill in future!
