Roadies Koffeehouz in association with The Narrator’s Performing Arts Society’s vertical venture ‘Kalakshetra’ unveiled ‘Kala Studio’ – a platform that shall  endeavour to showcase talented  artists  representing all genres of art from across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Nisha Luthra, the founder of Kalakshetra said, “Kala Studio is our tryst with the performing and creative arts. We would like to bring raw talent from the corners of Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal and even pan India and provide them with a dignified outreach and a magnificent stage.”

The first performance of Kala Studio was held at Roadies Koffeehouz, Sector 35, Chandigarh. The main aim behind the inception of ‘Kala Studio’ is to zero in on raw and original  talent from different parts of India.

Sharing the same vision, Sahil Baweja, Co-Founder Roadies Koffeehouz and partner, Now Capital  said, “We wanted to take the arts and artists ahead by providing them a graceful stage and opportunities. We will also produce a documentary series to help the cause of the artists’ so that their rare art reaches true audiences through media amplification.”

Meanwhile, the evening was enlivened with soulful Sufi music performed by a singer, Daras (Darshan Singh Grewal) – an independent artist, who writes, composes and sings his own melodies. Meanwhile, Gagneet on guitar and Hitesh Giri on Tabla, gave Daras the apt company to make the musical performance enchanting.

Roadies Koffeehouz has been a constant force in promoting young talent and  artists through content, performances and collaborations.  ‘Kala Studio’ will also help reach out to young talent across India and enable unique undiscovered artists to showcase their skills to a wider audience.

During the event, the founders’ shared their vision to document the beautiful journey of ‘Kala Studio’. This will be done  with each and every artist and their performance, in the shape of a beautiful episode and series compiled in a documentary to share and spread this noble cause.

In this endeavour, both the teams from ‘Kalakshetra’ and ‘Roadies Koffeehouz’ are working day and night to create a safe space for the artists and the audience.

The crème-de-la-crème of Chandigarh was present there to support the creative art studio. From Kalakshetra and Roadies Koffeehouz’s team members – Rajan K Bathejaa, Divya Sharma, Larry, Siya, Ankit, Neev were also present at the event.
