NSS leads the Environment Conservation and Women Empowerment Celebrations at Centre for Nuclear Medicine, Panjab University

A interactive Special Lecture ‘Celebrating Role of Women in Conservation’ was organized at the Centre for Nuclear Medicine, Panjab University, on 21 November,2018  by the NSS volunteers in collaboration with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and Social Substance. More than 50 students from UIAMS, Centre for Nuclear Medicine, UILS and other departments of the university participated in the event enthusiastically. The function was presided over by Dr.Vijeta Chadda, the Chairperson, Centre for Nuclear Medicine, PU and was co-ordinated by Dr.Anupreet Kaur Mavi. Prof.Jyoti Seth, Head of the Department, Sociology GCG Sector 42 apprised the audience of the value of women in society. She also interacted with students on role of women in economic empowerment through environmental conservation issues. Dr.Arun bansal from the Group ‘Social Substance’ also inspired the youth to imbibe at least one learning from the session in their lives and inspire other as well. The initiative was graced by the presence of programme officers Dr.Vijeta Chadha, Dr.Anupreet Kaur Mavi, Dr.Anupam Bahri, Dr.Amrit  and made the initiative a success, true to the guiding motto of NSS:  Not Me, But You.
