NGO ‘I Am Still Human'(IASH) which is being run by a group of dynamic tricity youngsters and is spearheaded by Vivek Mehra, celebrated Eid with migrant labourers. It is noteworthy that the NGO has been doing yeoman’s service by providing essential items to people living on the streets and labourers who were stuck in different under construction sites of Chandigarh during lockdown. In lockdown 4 now when the problem of mass exodus of migrant labourers is staring India as well as tricity in the face the NGO has risen to the occasion and started helping these labourers too by provision of essential things to them.

Vivek Mehra says,”While distributing food to migrant labourers,we met a group of Muslim labourers who requested our team that they wanted to celebrate Eid and that if days would have been normal, they would have done that with ease. So, our team on the auspicious occasion of Eid, cooked Eidi for them. We all prepared  Meethi Sewaiyaan, and distributed it to over 500 people.”

The NGO also gave  a message of the need to respect all religions as same.

It is pertinent to mention here that to date  ‘I Am Still Human’ has  distributed  Free Dry Ration to over 2000 needy Families and Free Sanitizers and Masks to over 50,000 people. This campaign had started on March 20, 2020 and is still going on.
