A new mobile ATM by SBI in the tricity to facilitate doorstep banking for customers

Shri Rajnish Kumar, Managing Director, National Banking Group, State Bank of India, visited the Local Head Office of SBI at Chandigarh. Shri Kumar while reviewing the performance of the Circle, emphasized on rapid migration of customers across all strata to Cashless Banking using its wide array of digital banking products. SBI Chandigarh Circle has witnessed a rapid rise in numbers and usage of digital channels post demonetization in both Retail and Merchant segments and it has more than 20 lacs Internet Banking Users and 2.50 lacs e Wallets “SB BUDDY” users.

Shri Kumar flagged off a new mobile ATM in the tricity to facilitate doorstep banking for customers in addition to the existing fleet of two mobile ATMs. The Bank has an existing network of 3250 ATMs/ Cash Deposit Machines in Chandigarh Circle, covering the States of Punjab, Haryana, Himanchal Pradesh, J & K and UT Chandigarh.

On this occasion, an MOU for Agriculture Supply Chain Finance was entered with M/s Smriti Products Pvt. Ltd. (SPL), Ambala. This will benefit all the stakeholders including farmers down the supply chain. The Bank will enter into similar agreements with other agriculture industry majors in the area to increase credit flow to farmers.
