‘Naalayak’- India’s first Indie Rock band to have launched music NFT with FanTiger today performed and mesmerised Chandigarh fans at Hard Rock Cafe, Sector 26, Chandigarh on his first NFT Concert Tour. The band has been on a 5 city NFT tour to Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Guwahati and Chandigarh- being the culmination city. ‘Naalayak’ had recently launched its song ‘Nusrat’ as their first Music NFT on FanTiger, India’s first dedicated music NFT marketplace and also became the first Concert gated by NFT.

The band has received a lot of love and support from its fans as is clearly seen by their presence in the musical night tour. The release of their song’s NFT has certainly added to the followers. As exciting as this tour sounds, there are additional benefits for the NFT holders of the band’s song- Nusrat and these NFT holders would get free entry to the concert.

Commenting on the occasion, Prashan Agarwal, CEO and Co-Founder, FanTiger said, “Music cuts across geographies, cultures, beliefs and more. Music concerts create a vibe worth experiencing which is something beyond the realms of technology. The band’s tour and their song’s NFT, both serve the purpose of bringing the audiences and fans closer to music and enrich the fan & artist relationship. We are glad to see strong support for the band from people across the cities.”

Expressing his excitement on the multi-city tour, after his first music NFT launch, Sahil Samuel, the lead singer and composer of the band Naalayak, said, “I am so happy to be performing in my own city Chandigarh, and of the music enthusiasts. The love and affection of the fans and well-wishers is like fuel for artists like us. I am so eager to be on stage and perform for my fans on the ground. It’s always fun to thump and hear the reverberance from the audience and the feelings are mutual. FanTiger has been a catalyst for the launch of our latest track ‘Nusrat’ as a Music NFT. Receiving such a positive response across India and even from overseas has added to our motivation.”

The concept of Music NFTs enables fans & investors to purchase partial ownership of the song, share royalty income, access to exclusive community, limited edition signed merchandise, and an opportunity to personally interact with the artist.

FanTiger recently received a $5.5 million seed round led by Multicoin Capital. The company plans to use the funds raised to grow its team across Product, Tech, extend industry partnerships and onboard more well-known and aspiring Indian Artists.

FanTiger’s vision is to onboard 10 million fans into the community and spread education and awareness around digital collectibles. It will also roll out initiatives aimed at supercharging the careers of over 100,000 artists using NFTs.
