Over 300 needy people were distributed free glasses on the occasion of Sthapna Diwas of Sri Hanumantha Dham Temple, Sector 40. The initiative was taken up by Mahila Sunderkand Sabha, Chandigarh under the Presidentship of Neena Tewari.

Prior to the program, the worship of Shri Hanuman ji was performed in the temple premises, after which Nina Tiwari distributed free spectacles to the needy. On this occasion, a self-study library was also launched in the temple where students can study in a quiet environment.

Neena Tewari, President of Mahila Sunderkand Sabha and Sri Hanumantha Dham Temple, said that the annual festival at Shri Hanumanth Dham Temple has been celebrated for many years. The event is held for 20 days in the temple premises after which community lunch is organised, but this year due to Covid-19, the gathering decided to celebrate the festival in a unique way by distributing spectacles.

On this occasion, retired director Vijay Laxmi Kansal and MIG Welfare Association President S.K. Khosla also expressed their views and praised this type of social work of the gathering. On this occasion Ranju Grover, Prem Lata, Pal Sharma, Sudarshan Sharma, Usha Singla, Suman Jain, Singarani Devi, Susheela Kesar, Gayatri Devi, Sarala Devi and other gathering members were present.
