St. Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32 Chandigarh held the Investiture Ceremony with great enthusiasm. The Investiture Ceremony marked a significant beginning of the new academic year.It was a solemn occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. Deserving young talents of the School were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their School from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence.To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of leaders and a sense of responsibility the new “School Parliament ” is formed every year.
The function was presided over by the Fr. James Gin, the school Manager. In his speech he encouraged the students to be committed to important issues and to always remember that leadership comes with integrity.
A total of 20 students of Parliament were sworn in by Fr. James Gin. Students from classes VIII to XII and the teachers were present on the occasion. Fr. James Gin presented the school pupil leader, assistant school pupil leader, captains and vice captains of four houses with their respective flags after attiring them with sashes. Stanly Mathew and Srishti are the School Pupil Leader and Assistant School Pupil Leader for this session. The Captains and Vice Captains of the four houses are RishikaSharma andVyakhya (St. Joseph’s House), Rahul Kanwar and MeharGujral (St. Mary’s House), GunishaMalhotra and Sukhsimrat Pal (St. Gabriel’s House)JasleenKaur and HarnoorKaur (St. Stephen’s House). The other Parliament Members are Harshdeep Singh and Naini Singh (Discipline Ministers), SimarpreetKaur and Collin (Cleanliness Ministers), Tanvi Singh and AshmitaMonga (Sports Ministers) , Ananya Sharma and Noordeep Cheema ( L. A Ministers Sr.), and Harleen and Hridhi(L.A Ministers Juniors) also took the oath. On this occasion the school also honoured Chaitanya Aggarwal, Sabiquee, Aishil Kurl and Parth Kansal who achieved the excellence award in talent hunt organized by silver zone and gold medal in sub junior state softball championship.
