INDIA INTERNATIONAL DANCE CONGRESS: 15 YEAR OLD WINS ASIAN TITLE FOR ‘AMATEUR SOLO’

Teenage Salsa sensation Aashna Bagri has done tricity proud by winning a National level title ‘Amateur Solo’ in Salsa, at the recently held India International Dance Congress held in Bangalore. Her achievement bears significance as she won the title competing against 18 participants from all over the country. It is noteworthy that she has been training with Varun D S Rana, an Indian Salsa Coach at All India Dance Sports Federation(AIDSF).

The 15- year- old from Chandigarh has been dancing for 4 years at International platforms such is India Fiesta Latina (IFL), New Delhi, Bailamos (Mumbai), International Salsa Festival (Chandigarh), India International Dance Congress IIDC(Bangalore)  and has also represented India in Asian Indoor Games 2017 in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).

“Aashna has been training hard with me and has also got exposure by undergoing training under International artists from across the world, during the last 4 years.

I am happy with her latest accomplishment.  She now plans to compete next year at the Dance Sports World Championship in USA and aims to bring the Gold to India. If she is able to do this she will become the Youngest World Champion From India.” Said Varun D S Rana, Aashna’s Coach.
