The Fortnightly celebrations of Hindi Diwas organised by Department of Hindi of Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh concluded today. Many competitions like Poetry-recitation, Poem-writing, Story writing, Essay writing, Declamation, Slogan-writing were organised to mark the occasion.
Dr. Ashok Sabharwal, Chairman Hindi department, Panjab University, Chandigarh, a well-known Hindi scholar presided over the function. In his presidential remarks, Dr. Ashok Sabharwal stressed on the nature and significance of Hindi language and highlighted its emerging role in the contemporary milieu. He gave away prizes to the winners of various competitions. Dr. Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college, congratulated the prize winners and motivated the students to give an appropriate direction to their creative potential.
