चंडीगढ़ स्थित हिमाचलियों की समाजसेवी संस्थान हिमाचल महासभा ने रविवार को गांव मलोया स्थित श्री राधाकृष्ण मंदिर में आयोजित सम्मान समारोह के दौरान पीजीआई के नव नियुक्त निदेशक डॉक्टर जगतराम, चंडीगढ़ की महापौर सुश्री आशा जसवाल और चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब के अध्यक्ष जसवंत राणा को सम्मानित किया। कार्यक्रम में बड़ी तादाद में हिमाचल से संबंधित लोगों ने भाग लिया।
इस मौके पर डॉक्टर जगत राम ने अपने अनुभव सांझा किए। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्होंने हिमाचल के छोटे से गांव राजगढ़ से अपना सफर शुरू किया था। परमपिता परमेश्वर के आर्शिवाद और हिमाचल वासियों की दुआओं के बूते वह इस मुकाम तक पहुंचे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि पीजीआई में उपचार के लिए आने वाले हिमाचल के लोगों की सेवा कर उन्हें अपार सुख का अनुभव होता है। इस मौके पर चंडीगढ़ की मेयर सुश्री आशा जसवाल ने बताया कि उनके श्वसुर स्वर्गीय मलूक सिंह ठाकुर ने हिमाचल महासभा की आधारशिला रखी थी। उनका घर महासभा का ही दफ्तर था। उन्होंने महासभा के चंडीगढ़ में महासभा आश्रम के लिए जमीन आवंटित करने के आग्रह को स्वीकार करते हुए कहा कि वह इस मुद्दे पर प्रशासक से चरचा करेंगी।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान सभा के अध्यक्ष एमपी अग्रिहोत्री ने कहा कि महासभा की ओर से विक्रमी संवत 2074 को समर्पित इस कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से उल्लेखनीय कार्य करने वाले हिमाचलियों को प्रोत्साहित किया गया। इस मौके पर चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन के तहसीलदार ध्यान सिंह राठौर, पीजीआई के वरिष्ठ प्रशासनिक अधिकारी केवल शर्मा और लायंस क्लब के अध्यक्ष आरके राणा को भी सम्मानित किया गया।
वरिष्ठ सदस्य डॉक्टर सतीश शर्मा ने अपने संबोधन के दौरान भारतीय विक्रमी संवत 2074 की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि उज्जैन के महाराज विक्रमादित्य ने भारतीय संवत परंपरा की शुरूआत की थी। भारतीयों को अपनी संस्कृति को जीवित रखने के लिए इस संवत के हिसाब से नववर्ष मनाना चाहिए।
