Rotaract club Chandigarh Himalayan, a non profit organisation, organised the 6th successful season of the Tricity’s Biggest Treasure Hunt, “Pirates of the City”.

About 70+ teams participated in the hunt and with great enthusiasm the pirates ventured the city beautiful. The event started from Sports Complex Sector-7, Chandigarh where the opening ceremony was held. With its exuberant dance performances, theatre acts and band performances, the ceremony filled the pirates with great enthusiasm and zeal.
 “Pirates of the city” in essence is a fund raiser event which aims to use all the money collected for its Project Happy School. The club uses the funds for providing basic amenities to Happy Schools (government schools adopted by the club) of slum areas where the students are deprived of basic facilities like benches, washrooms, etc.
Along with the thrill and adventure, the club also provided various exciting offers and gifts to the pirates. All the participants were given so many exciting coupons. The winning teams were given total prizes worth 1 Lac and Cash prizes worth Rs 50,000. The first winners i.e. Team ISIS got 25k in cash along with multiple coupons from various sponsors . The second winners i.e. Team Invincible got 15k in cash along with other coupons from our sponsors. The third winners i.e. Team United club  got 10k in cash along with other coupons.
It was an amazing opportunity  to test one’s abilities and cognitive skills. The treasure hunt provided a platform to create new bonds and strengthen old ones as no age barrier was there. The event Culminated with a closing ceremony at Hayr Car Care, Mohali. The Event was graced by the auspicious presence of our Chief Guest Mr Rajesh Kumar Kalia (Mayor) along with  Mr Ramesh Kamboj ,(Director FCI), Mr Harjit Singh (MD and Founder HAYR Car Share) , Ms. Satwant Kaur(Actress), Dr. Ranjit Riaz (Actor) and Rtn Sandeep Singh.
