Exchange programme held between Government model high school RC2 Dhanas and Ankur School Panjab University

Students of Government model high school RC2 Dhanas visited Ankur School, Panjab University, Chandigarh today on Feb 28, 2019 under exchange programme coordinated by social substance, Panjab University. About 150 students from class V were given tour of the school including library, art room, regular classroom, smart class, open air models etc. They got chance to interact with teachers of Ankur School and were given a motivational lecture by Dr. Parminder Duggal, Principal, Ankur School. While emphasizing person hygiene she motivated the students to seek and speak about ‘Swachhta’, the cleanliness. Her talk ranged from teeth brushing habits to preparation of examination.

Students of GMHS RC2 were no shy of asking question and raised several interactive queries including knowing about Principal’s journey from student to being Principal. Students brought beautiful handmade cards that were returned as return gift with drawing books for each student. Healthy refreshment in the form of Bananas was served to all the students.

Teachers from both schools expressed their gratitude towards each other and everyone appreciated program initiated by Dr. Parminder Duggal and Mrs. Ravinder respective principal of Ankur and GMHS RC2. Mrs. Ravinder kaur expressed that visit to Ankur would boost the morale of students and enable them to make up their mind for further studies. Dr. Duggal expressed that she is all for supporting education and such exchange programs are one of her priorities.  Dr. Arun Bansal apprised that such tours have potential of creating knowledge and resource pool where every child and teacher would be benefited.
