Dev Samaj Mahotsava Concludes, Session By Secretary Dev Samaj Enthuses Audience

The prayerful rendition of ‘Insaan ko aala jeewan ki kab hogi kadar’ set the tone for the proceedings of day 4 of the Dev Samaj Mahotsava at Dev Samaj Bhavan, housed in the premises of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36, Chandigarh. In the morning session Shriman Nirmal Singh ji Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj, who has tirelessly dedicated himself for more than six decades towards the promotion of social and ethical values propagated by Bhagwan Dev Atma, the Founder of Dev Samaj, gave a discourse on‘Devjeevandhari Dev Atma’. Shriman ji spoke about the illustrious life and teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma. The revered founder had emphasized the importance of having a scientific aptitude and being aware of the process of evolution.

Shriman Nirmal Singh ji said, “Truth, Beauty and Goodness were the guiding principles in the life of the Founder, something which has been advocated by the renowned thinkers like Albert Einstein. Cravings for materialistic gains have clouded our vision today. We remain steeped in illusion, and the only way out is to dedicate life to truth, beauty and goodness by emulating the life of revered Bhagwan Dev Atma.”

The discourse was highly motivational as it encompassed the tenets propounded by Bhagwan Dev Atma, and highly inspirational experiences from the six decades of Shriman ji’s service to the altruistic cause. The audience which comprised of teachers, students and people from different walks of life gained a fresh perspective about the right way to live one’s life from the talk.

‘Sat ke path pe chalte huye Atma ka naash ho jaana bhi kabool hai’  with such one-pointed dedication Bhagwan Dev Atma followed the path of truth. Shriman ji elaborated upon the teachings of the Founder and pointed out that there was no dichotomy between the words and actions of the revered soul. Shriman ji enumerated various anecdotes from his own life experiences to illustrate the dedication of numerous persons like the highly respected Bhai Mohan Dev ji, Bhai Gurmukh Singh ji and Shradheya Dev Suman ji who devoted their lives to the society following the teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma.

The four day ‘Mahotsava’ event came to a close. The event comprised of discourses, Bhajan Gayan, Band display, blood donation camp and a drama. The highlights of the four days were self-introspection and renewal of vows towards the altruistic ideals of Dev Samaj for social, moral and spiritual evolution.
